On March 20, 2023, at approximately 7:36 p.m., Peel Regional police responded to a call for gun shots fired in the area of Dream Crest Road and Aliconte Street of Mississauga.
29 year old Bryan Lara-Alvarez was sitting alone in his car, when he was located by police, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
“Life saving measures were attempted, however the male succumbed to his injuries at the scene.”
Peel Police believe that this was a targeted incident and that there is no evidence to suggest any public safety threat.
This is Peel’s second Homicide of 2023. There were 30 murders in Peel in 2022.
