Body parts found in Lake Ontario. Toronto Police asking for public’s help.

At 10:19 am on October 9, 2023, a human thigh was discovered near the waters edge at Cherry Beach.

Police were notified and shortly after arriving on the scene another thigh was found about 150 metres away, floating in the water.

A human torso clothed in a size small t-shirt and wearing a necklace would be discovered in Lake Ontario a week later.

It was partially wrapped in a black garbage bag, and none of the body parts discovered had any distinctive scars or tattoos.

DNA testing has confirmed that the body parts belong to the same person.

The remains are described as male, 21-28 years old, with a light brown, tan complexion, an average to lean build, and black body hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-5100 or by using the dedicated tip email at help51@tps.ca.
