During the summer of 1986, Allan Legere, Scott Curtis and Todd Matchett murdered an elderly shopkeeper in the Miramichi region of New Brunswick, Canada.
The three men were given a life sentence, but Legere would hatch a plan to escape custody, earning him the nickname the Monster of the Miramichi.
