Gilbert Paul Jordan was a Canadian serial killer who used alcohol to kill his victims via alcohol poisoning and managed to evade capture for over 20 years.
Many of the women he murdered were indigenous and/or alcoholics and some were also falsely reported as sex workers. Which is possibly why the police and the public paid less attention to the deaths.
Jordan is thought to have begun killing in 1965 though this was never officially confirmed.
He was also only ever actually charged with manslaughter for one of the deaths he was responsible for, so for the most part he did manage to escape responsibility for most of the murders.
