Jeremy Mackenzie, wanted on a Canada-wide warrant was located and arrested in Halifax, N.S.

On September 28, 2022, at approximately 2 p.m. (AST), officers of the RCMP/Halifax Regional Police Integrated Criminal Investigation Division arrested 36-year-old Jeremy MacKenzie, the apparent leader of the so-called Diagolon movement, at a home in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.

He will remain in police custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Saskatchewan on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 9 a.m.

Saskatoon RCMP received a report in March 2022 of an assault that occurred in November 2021 in the Municipality of Viscount, Saskatchewan. As a result of investigation, on July 18, 2022, 36-year-old Jeremy Mackenzie of Nova Scotia was charged with:

  • 1 count, assault
  • 1 count, point a firearm
  • 1 count, use a restricted weapon in a careless manner
  • 1 count, mischief

Mackenzie’s arrest warrant in Saskatchewan was extended to all of Canada on September 21, 2022.
