Late night stabbing in Ajax leaves one man dead

Durham Regional Police are investigating a stabbing in Ajax that left a 28 year old man dead, in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 15.

Police responded to a call about a stabbing around 2am, in a parking lot outside the King Castle Bar & Grill, in an Ajax plaza near Westney Rd S and Lake Driveway W.

Immediately following the incident, a person was struck by a motor vehicle in the parking lot.

The driver of the vehicle who struck a person in the parking lot has been charged with Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm. The person struck was transported to a Toronto-area trauma hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The stabbing victim was transported to a Toronto area hospital in serious condition, where he has since succumbed to his injuries. The victim has not yet been identified, however police have identified a suspect and the investigation is continuing.

Investigators are looking for anyone with information to come forward, as well as anyone that was at the bar or who may have video footage of the incident.
