MISSING: Gloria Jean Abotossaway, Toronto, ON (1992)

Gloria Jean Abotossaway, 27, who also went by the name Marty, was last seen on Feb. 14, 1992.

On the evening she went missing, a man named David Marlatt was murdered in her apartment.

Michael Wrightman, age 30 pleaded guilty to manslaughter and Frederick Nahwegahbow would be convicted of accessory after the fact for helping Wrightman drag Marlatt’s body to the elevator of the building.

Abotossaway was interviewed by police, and they determined she was not responsible for the killing of David Marlett.

She disappeared a short time afterwards and was last seen by her sister Linda.

On the day Gloria went missing she phoned her aunt and told her she and her boyfriend “Lenny” were meeting up with a man named “Bob Russo” in Moss Park.

All of her belongings were left behind, with the exception of her birth certificate and status card.

Gloria is described as Indigenous, 5’2 with brown hair and brown eyes

During October, 2020, Toronto Police released two artist renditions of what she might look like today.
