Police appeal to auto body repair shops following pedestrian fatal collision

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are appealing to all auto body and mechanical repair shops within York Region and the Greater Toronto Area that may have recently repaired a dark-coloured Toyota truck or SUV.

On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, around 12 p.m., York Regional Police located a male pedestrian on Davis Drive, between Bales Road and Warden Avenue. The pedestrian was deceased and appeared to have been struck by a vehicle.

Police are seeking the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian and any witnesses who were in the area between 9 p.m. on September 27 and 10 a.m. September 28.

Any service shop staff who may have had contact with this vehicle or its driver is asked to contact police.

Investigators are also looking to identify a male wearing reflective clothing, who was driving a green Toyota vehicle, and is believed to have stopped in the immediate area of this scene.
