Three people are dead after a multiple stabbing south of Ottawa’s core late Monday night, June 27.
Ottawa police say they were called to a home on Anoka Street near Grasmere Crescent, just south of Heron Road, around 10:30 p.m. for “reports of a stabbing with multiple victims.”
Two people were found deceased at the location. A third person received multiple serious stab wounds and is being treated in hospital.
Ottawa police’s homicide unit is investigating the stabbing deaths.
A fourth person died after “interaction with police”. As a result, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is now involved. The SIU investigates incidents involving police where death or serious injury occurs.
The area is about six kilometres south of Parliament Hill.
