In March 2023, Niagara Regional Police Service detectives assigned to the Human Trafficking Unit commenced an investigation into the trafficking of an adult female.
The investigation has determined, a female victim was coerced into the sex trade by two suspects whom she met in the City of Montreal.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between February 14th, 2023, and February 27th, 2023, in the City of St. Catharines, City of Hamilton, Town of Milton, City of Brampton, City of Toronto, City of Ottawa, and City of Montreal.
Jayven Fanfan JEAN (male – 24 years) of Montreal who is known to use the alias Guylner JEAN is currently WANTED for the Criminal Code offences of:
- Financial / Material Benefit / Trafficking Person Over 18
- Advertising Another Person’s Sexual Services
- Trafficking in Persons by Exercising Control
- Material Benefit from Sexual Services
- Procuring / Exercising Control
Janeil POPE (female – 22 years) of Montreal is currently WANTED for the Criminal Code offences of:
- Financial / Material Benefit / Trafficking Person Over 18
- Advertising Another Person’s Sexual Services
- Trafficking in Persons by Exercising Control
- Material Benefit from Sexual Services
- Procuring / Exercising Control
