Canada-Wide Warrant issued in connection to the murder of Yuk-Ying Anita Mui.

On Friday, August 9, 2024 Yuk-Ying (Anita) Mui was reported missing by her family.

Her white 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE450 sport utility vehicle (SUV) would be found later that same day in the Finch Avenue East and Warden Avenue area of Toronto.

Three days later, the Ontario Provincial police would report that burned human remains were found in the area of Avro Arrow Road and Highway 400, in the Town of Parry Sound. 

Yuk-Ying (Anita) Mui

The Office of the Chief Coroner would positively identified these remains as belonging to Mui.

As the investigation progressed, three youths would be discovered with Yuk-ying Mui’s possessions and be charged with firearms offences and fraud.

A fourth suspect has since been identified as being involved in her disappearance and murder.

Zhixiong Marko HU

Zhixiong Marko Hu is wanted for first-degree murder, and a Canada-wide warrant has been issued but the York Regional Police Homicide Unit.

Police have seized two of his vehicles. A white, 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van with Ontario licence plate CWHW720 and a grey 2021 Porsche Cayenne SUV with Ontario licence plate CTZT172.

Police have reason to believe that the Porsche may have had a different licence plate attached to it in the days leading up to August 9, 2024.
