On Monday, June 26, 2023, Hamilton police were called to an apartment on Herkimer Street.
After arriving at the scene, a 62 year old woman was discovered without vital signs.
She was pronounced deceased after arriving at hospital a short time later.
A 34 year old man was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder.
Police stated in a media release that the victim and suspect are known to one another, and that they are not looking for any additional suspects.
