36 year Melanie Thomson, who also went by the names Bernice Wiseman, Melanie Erekosima and the nickname “Kenya” was last seen on August 27, 2010.
She had previously disappeared for long periods of time, having no contact with friends or family, where she would travel extensively across Canada. Because of her history, family and friends were not immediately concerned when they stopped hearing from her.
She is described as an Afro-Canadian woman, 5’5″ tall, weighing approximately 165 lbs., with a medium build. She has brown hair and black eyes.

She also had several tattoos, a panther on her right ankle, palm trees on her left upper arm, and Chinese lettering on her lower back
Melanie’s last known address was in the downtown east side of Vancouver, B.C, near the Oppenheimer Park Area
