On October 14, 2022, a woman reported to the Steinbach RCMP Detachment that she was the victim of a sexual assault during a massage.
She believed the man who assaulted her to be a registered massage therapist. This was not true, he was not a registered massage therapist, and was providing services out of a basement in Blumenort.
The victim reported that during the appointment, she was touched in an unwanted sexual way.
51 year old Bernhard Unger, has been charged with Sexual Assault. He has been remanded in custody.
