UNSOLVED: The murder of Brandon Polegato (2021) – Halifax, NS

Brandon Polegato, 26, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in the hallway of an apartment building on Washmill Lake Drive on Feb. 7, 2021.

Two men were arrested in relation to his death later the same month, but eventually released without charges.

Police have reason to believe there are people with information that could lead to arrests or charges in this homicide.

A reward of up to $150,000 for any information that leads to an arrest for the murder of the Halifax man, is being offered by the Nova Scotia government.

The government says it has added Brandon Polegato’s case to the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program.

“I urge anyone with information to come forward,” said Brad Johns, Attorney General and Minister of Justice in a news release. 

“I hope the addition of this case to the rewards program will assist investigators to identify those responsible.”

Those with information is asked to call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090, and all calls will be recorded. Those who come forward have to provide their name and contact information, and may be called to testify in court.
