On October 16, 1986 fifteen year old Kerrie Ann Brown went missing after attending a house party in Thompson, Manitoba.
Here body was discovered on afternoon of October 18, in a wooded area just outside of Thompson.
An autopsy determined she had been bludgeoned to death and sexually assaulted.

The RCMP arrested a suspect a week later but the murder charge was thrown out in court due to the lack of evidence.
Since then the file has remained open, but the case has stayed cold.
According to the Winnipeg Sun, DNA collected and tested suggests that two males were responsible, and the DNA did not match the original suspect.
