UPDATE: Kenneth Nolan Kirton back in custody

Kenneth Nolan Kirton, who was wanted Canada-wide after failing to return to a half-way house Saturday, is back in custody.

According to a Vancouver police press release, he was arrested just before 11 p.m near China Creek Park, in East Vancouver, after VPD officers responded to reports of a man acting erratically in the area.

Kirton has a history of disappearing from halfway houses. He failed to return in April of 2022 and in March of 2021.

He has been declared a dangerous offender by the court and under 10 year supervision order
