Kenneth Nolan Kirton, 56, a high-risk sex offender is wanted Canada-wide after failing to return to his halfway house.
Kirton, 56, is a declared dangerous offender and is considered a high risk to sexually offend.
He has a history of violent offences. In 1986, he was charged with breaking into a home and sexually assaulting a woman.
In 2012 he was wanted on charges of attempted murder of an elderly woman.
He was convicted in October 2013 of assault, aggravated assault and robbery and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Kirton is 5’6″ and 165 pounds, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeve sweater, darks blue jeans, and black shoes.
He is currently bound by a long-term supervision order that includes a requirement that he reside at a halfway house in East Vancouver.
He signed out just after 4 p.m. Friday afternoon, and was reported to VPD this morning after he didn’t return
Anyone who sees Kirton or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
