On Friday, March 10, 2023 police responded to a call at a banquet hall at Highway 27 and Steeles Ave West about possible gunshots heard in the area.
Upon arrival officers confirmed a firearm had been discharged and recovered from the scene.
Investigators also learned about a victim from this incident who arrived at the hospital with stab wounds, but later succumbed to their injuries.
The victim has been identified as Shacquan Harrison, 24, of Toronto.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Omary Bent, 26, of Toronto. It is alleged that he is responsible for the stabbing. He will be charged with second-degree murder.
